Grains of Gratitude

1. I'm grateful we were able to see Kayla's preschool program last Fri and then leave for San Antonio - I'm glad that all worked out as I sure wouldn't have wanted to miss out on that little performance!

2. I'm grateful we had a safe trip to SA and back; and that the kids both travelled so well. Lucas did much better than we thought he would, thank goodness!

3. I'm grateful we were able to go to SA to see my best friend and attend her parents' marriage renewal ceremony. We've known each other for 22 years so I was glad to be able to make it to such a special occasion. Here we are with her dad:

with her daughter Rhiannon:

and Kayla with her son Nate:

4. I'm grateful for the fun time we had at Sea World (pictures to come!) We were there much longer than we thought we would be; Kayla was very well behaved and no melt-downs (for spending about 8 hrs there I'd say that was pretty good!) She loved it and had so much fun. Lucas slept most of the time away in the stroller.

5. I'm grateful for the Hero Salute program so we were able to get into Sea World for free. That saved us about $150! I don't know how most families afford to go to amusement parks anymore, the prices are so high. It would have been $150 just for our family of 3 (not including the additional $12 just to park), I can't imagine the larger families...so I'm definitely grateful Anheuser-Busch Adventure Parks recognize the military in such a great way!

6. I'm grateful Joe had Fri off as "Family Day" in conjunction with the holiday - makes for a nice 4-day weekend!

7. I'm grateful for the aqua massage I had on Fri! I won a gift certificate for a 10-min session from our MOPS Silent Auction a couple months ago and finally used it. I've never been in one of those machines before; it sure was nice and relaxing!

Wow! That sounds so wonderful. I'm glad you had a good trip. What a wonderful program Busch has. You all deserve it. The sacrifices you ALL make are way beyond what most of us can even imagine. Thank you.

I totally agree about not knowing how people afford it anymore though, admissions have really gotten insane!

Have a great weekend.

Loved reading your gratitude post tonight...and seeing all the great pictures!

Speaking of Busch, we noticed all the signs up all over Sea World last month when we went honoring active duty. It was so nice...(we were there with my nephew and his family and is a Navy chaplain.)

I agree with the last reply- you all so deserve to be honored in these ways!

Have a nice Memorial Day!

I am glad to see you have so much to be grateful for. I am even happier to see you are grateful. There are to many people how just take things for grated.
Thank you for the great idea. I think I will make a similar post on brendafriends.com/blog. Lord knows I have a lot to be grateful for too.

What fabulous photos, and a great trip! You look amazing...how did you pop back to your slim figure so fast? That pic of Lucas is amazing, his eyes so blue, and Kayla looks adorable in her dress! This is Karen of Karen's Ramblings by the way :-)
