Grains of Gratitude

Before I get to my list of things from last week I'm grateful for, I want to say a very Happy Anniversary to my grandparents today. They've been married 57 years! So...happy anniversary Grandma and Pa...we love you!

1. I mentioned I had my OB appt on Mon; and I was going to vent that I was in the waiting room for about 1.5 hrs. I didn't go up to the front to ask what was going on because I thought maybe someone got called away for a delivery or something, I was trying to be understanding, but it was pretty frustrating. Anyway, I decided to find something to be grateful for instead of thinking of all the things I could have been doing during that time. I was able to just sit and read a book! For an hour and a half I had nothing to worry about and I could just take a break and read.

2. I'm grateful Joe and I were able to go see another movie (National Treasure 2). I was also able to use the free passes I won at a base event right after Joe left. It was nice to have a date with him before this little one arrives!

3. I'm grateful we (well mostly Joe!) were able to clean out/organize the outside storage closet and shed. It really helped to just get rid of a lot of stuff and find the baby items we're going to need. I was able to get everything washed yesterday - and most of my hospital bag packed!

4. I'm grateful Joe had these few weeks off since coming back from his deployment. It's been really nice having him at home helping out with everything. We get back to reality next week when he goes back to work though!

5. I'm grateful for the blueberry pancakes he made this morning - they sure hit the spot and were yummy! It's nice having him here making Sunday breakfast again :)

6. I'm 37 weeks!

You look great! Those pics are beautiful I ESPECIALLY love that last one of all three (four) of you, Kayla's face is priceless! I bet she's getting real excited about this new little baby coming, she's gonna be such a good big sister. Also congrats on getting all that work done, it must feel great.

That family picture is so great. You will treasure that. I was thinking how awesome that will be in both kids' scrapbooks, if you do scrapbooks! :-)

Take care and get lots of rest.

Those are great pics. As always you look like Model Pregnant Mum! Kayla's expression is awesome in the bottom pic, that excitement and wonder about what is in the tum. So glad you're getting all organised and it's all coming together - yay. Love the pic of you all together too.

You look cute pregnant.

Did you hear about the Down Syndrome women that were used as suicide bombers Friday in Baghdad? One more thing to be thankful for, that our children can grow up in this country.

Wow! Yopu look so great! When I was that pregnant I looked more like ahamster than a mom to be! And I did not have anyone making me yummy breakfasts (poor B did not have time to get up before I had eaten the whole kitchen).

Best of luck to you the next few days/weeks!

Michelle, Beautiful photos and blog! Kayla's eyes truly are stunning. I'm visiting lots of new blogs today as I try to spread the word about Pam at Rhett's Journey and the difficulties her family is facing. She has a child with DS and a child with Asperger's. Feel free to check out my current post at http://www.sustenancescout.blogspot.com or check out Pam's updates at http://wwwrhettsjourney.blogspot.com. Thanks so much and best wishes always to you and your (growing!) family! Karen in Denver

You are one beautiful mommy-in-waiting and the pictures of you, hubby and Kayla all together are priceless. I know you use your coupons whenever possible, but wanted to share a website with you for diapers with free shipping. Sometimes it's worth paying full price for something just to save yourself the effort of hauling them home from the grocery store. LOL Hope this comes in handy sometime down the road.
