My Budding Photographer (and prayer request)

I mentioned before that we had some gifts from Christmas saved until Joe got back. One of the gifts Kayla opened was this camera:

She loves it! We had to put batteries in it right away so she could start taking pictures. She had such a blast taking pictures of everything and anything. I think that first night she took all 200 pictures the card holds!

Of course 99% of the pictures we delete because they are too blurry (she doesn't hold still enough), aren't of anything (she wasn't quite aiming right) too bright or too dark. She just has fun click, click, clicking away.

I like downloading the pictures on the computer and seeing what objects captures her interest. Here are a few that actually came out:

A little blurry, but at least she didn't cut his head off like most of the ones she took of us!

I was surprised how clear this one was when I saw it:

Welcome home balloon for Joe:

Her slipper:

A little too close with the flash!

She wanted a picture of the "sleeping" kitty:

Pizza!

Kayla is having her 4th set of tubes put in tomorrow (hoping he can get the titanium ones in)...please say a prayer for a quick surgery and easy recovery...especially coming out of the anesthesia - she's not a happy camper! :)

The pictures are great, even the one with the extra flash . . . makes you look kind of "movie starrish" (made up word). What a great idea to save some gifts to open now that Joe's home.

Titanium tubes? Did I miss that post? I knew Kayla was getting new tubes in, and I will surely be in prayer for her sweet, little self. Hopefully there will be no complications whatsoever.

Sending hugs your way today!

Kayla is actually better than I am! Future photographer for National Geographic maybe. Boy these kids have some fun toys nowadays, don't they?

And I will be praying for Miss Kayla. My Kayla also had tubes three times. Never any fun. She's always on my heart each and every day. Can't wait to meet you all someday!

We're praying for Kayla. Micah has his fourth set last summer, and it seem to get worse each time for him. Poor dear.

I love her photography! You'll have to post those frequently.

Will be praying for Kayla at her appointment. Great pictures. Our kids have enjoyed taking pictures in the last year and it makes for a lot of fun. Is that a Fur Real Cat? Em has one of those. xxx

I love seeing pictures kids take with cameras. I actually have a few I took as a kid. I would put my barbies in "modeling" poses and I was the photographer.

I hope that things go smoothly with the surgery and this "fixes" the probelm with her ears.

The pictures...I love them so much!! What a great idea, seeing what interests her...wonderful idea!!

I love her pictures. My Mom got Kayla the Fisher Price one. She loves that thing. I also love to see things from her vantage point. She also is constantly moving as she takes pics. :)

Positive thoughts coming her way for tomorrow. Neither of my girls came out of anesthesia happily when they were put under. Awful experiences all the way around!!!

She did a very good job~!!! My oldest LOVES to go around taking pics too...and they look VERY similar o hers!

And good luck with the tubes. I'll be thinking of and praying for you guys that all goes well. Can you beleive Kaia is STILL on her original set of tubes that were put in almost 2 years ago!! (well, as of 6 months ago they were still there...we'll find out next month if they're still in) From hearing stories from everyone else I thought for sure she'd go through them quickly.

Michelle, I haven't been leaving comments lately (just reading), but I wanted you to know I'll be praying for Kayla and for you too!
I must confess, many of my pictures don't look nearly as good as Kayla's. I'm still trying to learn how to use the digital camera my daughter gave me. Yikes!

We will definately be praying for Kayla. Looks like she's got the knack for taking photos :)

We got both kids cameras like that for Christmas, also! They love them! We've got more pictures of the back of my head while I cook than I'll ever know what to do with!

I will be praying for Kayla...oh how I understand...Stephanie has had tube six times and thankfully she has outgrown the need for them now.

So glad to read that your dh is home.

I pray it all goes smoothly. W.W. wasn't a happy camper either when he woke after general and his first set of tubes. It's a frustrating moment because it seems like nothing is soothing.

Thanks for the pics of the camera. I want to get one for W.W. for his 3rd birthday, maybe he'll stop trying to steal mine. :)

I was laughing at the sleeping kitty and pizza, how cute! Good luck w/ tube surgery. Rylie just had her 2nd set put in yesterday, and she did really good waking up. Last time she got it done she was 3 years old and she was miserable the rest of the day, this time she was her happy self, so I'm wondering if age makes any difference.

Great Pictures. I had to laugh though. When my grand daughters started taking pictures they were about Kayla's age....We have a whole album of everyones nostrill's. They were always catching everyone off guard. So we're keeping them to show their kids....
Praying for Kayla. She a sweetheart.
