Grains of Gratitude

1. I'm grateful for the different programs the military has...I went to a Bundles For Babies class on Tues and at the end they give you a bag of baby items worth about $75 - that sure is nice to have!

2. I'm grateful Kayla's surgery for her tubes went well and she bounces back pretty quickly. Later that day we went to the bowling alley for a quick dinner and then some bowling. 10 frames is just a bit long for her attention span, but she still had fun.

3. I'm grateful for the free movie that was playing on base yesterday. Joe and Kayla met Jim and Katelyn at the theater to see Alvin and the Chipmunks (and a nice father/daughter date!). Both girls really enjoyed the movie and were up dancing and singing too.

4. While the guys were at the movies with the kids I was at Jennifer's house for my baby shower. I'm grateful Jennifer organized this and we had such a fun time. Although I have saved almost everything from when Kayla was a baby, it is nice to get some new things for this baby.

Sue and I trying to figure out all the candy bars that comprise this "poopy" diaper

Cute sleeper!

One of my friends made this "diaper cake" filled with all sorts of goodies

This cake looked almost too pretty to even cut up, almost, knowing there was a raspberry filling inside sealed the deal!

5. I'm grateful that I'm 36 weeks today! 36 weeks! I can't believe I'm in the "home stretch" now - it really doesn't feel like we're this close to having another baby. Maybe that's because we haven't done much for preparations! I've had some requests for recent belly pics...so here they are!

Adorable pics. I did my first grains of gratitude post today too! I have a cute story for you, me and my husband met my family this weekend at a hotel in Tunica and of course I got to see my sister Janice who has Ds. Well I was using the internet in their room and it projects on the TV and I decided to pull your blog up because I had told my parents about Kayla and how cute, smart, etc she is. When Janice saw her picture on the screen she said "is that me?" LOL we all thought that was soooo cute that she thought Kayla was her when she was a little girl. It was so cute.

Fabulous pics..I so wish I'd looked as good as you when I was pregnant. Now that I am planning my son's birthday party on 22nd Feb (actual birthday 21st), I think of how many weeks you have left - he was born when I was 36 weeks and 5 days pregnant. Exciting!!

That cake looked amazing. Alvin and the Chipmunks was a cute movie, I took my son recently.

What a wonderful baby shower! Raspberry filling does sound super tasty. All your pictures are great. It's nice to see pregnant pictures, somehow after the baby is born it's easy to forget about the pregnancy part. My mom told me that once and went out of her way to make sure there were a few pictures of my pregnant because there were certainly none of her pregnant with me or my brother.

Shelley said...

Oh they are such wonderful photoes - you and Kayla look so happy and relaxed. I can't wait to 'meet' the baby!!
