Come Meet Our Son...

...or daughter! LOL Yeah I know that was a tricky title!! :)

NO! We are NOT finding out the gender; although a small part of me does want to just know, I remember how exciting it was to find out at the moment of Kayla's birth and want to do that again.

I mentioned I had an u/s appt last Thur. I'm finally getting a chance to post a few pictures. She gave me a few more pictures, but they are standard 2-d profile, here is an arm, 2 feet etc.

The baby is measuring 5 days ahead, hope s/he doesn't get too big! Kayla was 6 lbs 13 oz and I don't want a baby much bigger than she was! :)

S/he was lying face down in a vertical position with the butt just under my belly button. Little stinker wouldn't cooperate and move the head much to get a good face shot though! Baby is about 7 inches long and I think she said 10 oz (but don't quite remember).

Here is the little foot the tech said was about 1 inch. One little inch! It's amazing I can feel all this movement every day!

Being shy and hiding...and looks so skeletal still at this stage! The tech said those great 3-d pics you see in magazines usually happen around 30 wks when there is some fat on the bones :)

The best she could get of the face

The perinatologist will see me one more time, as she said for a "growth check." I'm not sure why if baby has been growing well so far and everything looks fine, but I'm not going to argue with another chance to get a peek! Maybe baby will cooperate next time and smile for the camera! :)

I can't wait to show these to Rhi and Nate... Usually when Nate sees pics like this, he'll make a guess about the gender. Wonder what he'll say. I know what I was thinking, but I won't say... I'll tell you if I was right when the baby is born.

Babies are a wonderment.

I have been lurking for sometime, thanks to Tara, but now that I feel more comfortable..I will comment here and there. Thanks for the smile today! Your children are both beautiful!

Those are some beautiful U/S pics.
It still amazes me how far technology has come,to be able to see with such detail even the facial features.
Congratulations!

It it still amazing to actually see a baby while you are still Pregnant.. since we do not live close by it is always a nice surprise to read "reports" on your pregnancy and see pics too... Still trying to figure out when I and (great aunt Debbie :) ) will be coming out, either before or after the birth..............I have only so much time off from work.... love mom

Oh, these just make me almost tear up...I can only imagine how they make you feel! Look at that sweet little face!
I so wish I could have had 3-D done with my girls...they had the technology, but not all places did them.
Now, I have to go read your post below and get caught up! :)

Oh, how wonderful! I hope things continue to go well, and it's great that you'll get another peek. Hopefully you can see the face better. I remember with one of Micah's ultrasounds I told my husband that he looked just like our then-youngest. We could tell, in the womb!

Love the pictures! So glad everything has been smooth. I have to say that even though Eve was 7 pounds 6 oz, Judah being 9 pounds was a much easier delivery! He slept better as well - I always thought it was because he had the extra weight.

I'm happy for you that you are able to go in again and have some more time to look at your baby! I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures!

When it comes to determining the gender of your baby, they say that if you:

1. Keep thinking about the gender you'd like ...

2. Talk about the gender you'd like ...

3. Dream about the gender you'd like ...

4. Buy books for the gender you'd like ...

5. Buy clothes for the gender you'd like ...

... you'll still be wasting your time, unless you get a sonogram.

:)
