Disability Blog Carnival and Slow Cooker Thursday

The 21st Disability Blog Carnival is being hosted by Growing Up With A Disability - the theme is Top 10 Lists and my contribution is this post on Facts About Down Syndrome. There are a lot of great Top 10 lists from many other bloggers too.

Now on to today's Slow Cooker Recipe!

Creamy Corn and Broccoli

Ingredients:
1 16-oz bag frozen cut broccoli
1 16-oz bag frozen corn
1 10 3/4-oz can cream of chicken soup
1 C shredded American cheese
1/2 C shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 C milk

Directions:
Lightly coat the inside of the slow cooker with cooking spray. In a very large mixing bowl combine all ingredients. Place in slow cooker.

Cook on low-heat for 5-6 hours, or high-heat for 2.5-3 hours.

I can't wait for Jason to outgrow his milk allergy so we can make meals like this. I miss cooking with cheese. We use it, but we add it in afterwards like on tacos. This sounds yummy!

What a good idea for a recipe! My daughter with ds will only eat fast food, and since she is skinny I let her. So now she is spoiled and I'm fat from eating fast food too. Your daughter is beautiful with her big blue eyes.

I couldn't resist sending the blueberry chocolate, it just seemed to fit in well with you blog :-). My friend just had a baby girl yesterday, Stephanie Ruby. It's such a blessing for her. She has two gorgeous sons from her first marriage and had a heart longing for a girl - didn't know what she was having until she arrived. I'm so happy for her. Just wanted to share :-)

yum, sounds good! I'll have to put that on next week's menu. I hope and pray you're doing well these days. I enjoyed your educational post on Down Syndrome, I learned a bunch! I hope your pregnancy is going well and that you're feeling great. Sorry I've been a bit absent, head over to my blog to read a bit of why if you wish.
Love, Sarah
