Meeting more blogger friends!

We're still in OK visiting my in-laws (through the weekend), and then we'll finally, finally, be home again! 3 weeks is a long time to be gone and I think we'll all be glad to be back in our own homes, beds, and routines! It has been nice though being able to visit 2 sets of grandparents on this trip ... and meeting 11 people IRL!

Joe and I have been spoiled meeting such wonderful people from the internet too! Everyone has been so nice and even treating us to dinner or dessert!

On our trip from MD to OK we met 3 more blogging friends. Last Sunday when we got into OH we were able to meet Sharon from A Penny For Your Thoughts She met us at B*b E*ans with her daughter-in-law and adorable niece Pacey. Sharon treated us to dessert and even bought Kayla a cute Dora purse with a couple small sticker books that fit inside. Sharon is just as funny in person as I thought she would be!

When we arrived at our hotel later that day in Columbus, we met Tammy from Gentle Retreat and her husband. They treated us to dinner at C*acker B*rrel. It was so nice to just sit and chat with them as they are just a friendly couple! Unfortunately Kayla wasn't in the best of moods. After traveling all day and not having a nap she was a little bit ornery. Ok her tummy was also bothering her because she had to go to the bathroom (sorry TMI!) When she gets like that she feels miserable. She didn't eat one bite for dinner. Tammy and I took Kayla to walk around in the little store and Kayla found this little tiny bucket that she wanted and just would not put down, Tammy was so nice to buy that for Kayla! I was relieved that Kayla at least gave them both a genuine hug when it was time to go.

On Monday we found ourselves back in STL. We arrived early enough that afternoon to have some time to take Kayla to The Magic House. She spent a good couple of hours running around that place exploring all the different rooms. STL sure does have some neat places for kids!

Joe trying to make a bubble all around Kayla

She loved the "Grandma's Attic" room...I couldn't get her to leave because she was having too much fun with a "tea party!"

We left on Tuesday for OK and stopped in OKC to meet yet another blogger! I don't think she uses her name on her blog, so I'll just say we met "N" from Mayhem & Miracles and her 3 kids. She was also nice enough to treat us to dessert at McD*nalds! Her youngest son is 5 and Kayla had fun following him all around! "N" is also so sweet and her kids are just too funny! They kept Kayla entertained...she actually fell asleep 5 minutes after we left and slept for 1.5 hrs!

Yesterday Joe and his parents went to Wichita Falls, TX for some shopping at B*st B*y, H*me D*pot, P*t S*art etc...mostly they were doing some electronic shopping, which I have no interest in! So guess what? I just recently came across a blogger who just so happens to live in Wichita Falls! Kacey from Ella Grace was so nice to invite Kayla and me over to hang out at her house so we didn't have to go shopping! She has a son who is 3 (and Kayla made an instant friend) and a 9-month old daughter who has that extra chromosome in common with Kayla! Kayla had such fun playing in the pool with Hunter! I think she wore him out as he fell asleep on the couch later! She also had fun playing with Ella (and she made me nervous because she wasn't exactly "easy" with her and tried to play with her like they were the same age!) She kept trying to share food and toys with Ella, it was adorable!

I feel so lucky to have met so many wonderful people on this trip! Thank you to all of you for taking time out of your days to meet with us too! Joe even enjoyed meeting everyone!

What a trip, Michelle. I can't believe you've met so many of your blogging friends in person on this trip.

I can understand why, after three weeks on the road, home is starting to sound good though.
