Grains of Gratitude

I can't believe another week has already gone by!

1. I'm definitely grateful that we had a safe trip home on Monday (and once again no accidents from Kayla at all during all the driving). Being home also means yummy Sunday breakfast from Joe again!

2. In the middle of all the mail accumulation we had a package from New Zealand. Karen from Karen's Ramblings sent an early birthday present to Kayla (and me too!) Kayla received a stuffed replica of the New Zealand Kiwi Bird

and I received a big block of kiwi chocolate! Mmm mmm is it ever good! I had to stick it in the freezer so I wouldn't eat it all in one day :) Thank you so much for the wonderful gifts Karen!

3. I'm grateful Kayla and I were able to meet with Jennifer and Katelyn at the Kid Zone on Friday. The girls were so happy so see each other and they gave each other a big hug in the parking lot after seeing each other for the first time since we've been back. They were able to play while Jennifer and I discussed details of their upcoming birthday party. They are 2 years apart, but their birthdays are a week apart so we are having a joint party.

4. I'm grateful Joe was able to meet us there for lunch on his first day back to work. I had a $15 gift card for Oasis Pizza that expired on June 8th. I got it from our MOPS Silent Auction before we left town and didn't notice the ex. date. I'm grateful they still honored it so I bought us all lunch.

5. I'm grateful we were able to spend last night with Jim, Jennifer and Katelyn. We had them over for fajitas and a game. As always the girls play so well together. It's hard to find "couple" friends where the wives and the husbands get along so I'm grateful we met them. Unfortunately they'll probably be moving by the end of the year and I'm so bummed about that! So I think we're going to get in a lot of BBQing at each other's houses over the summer!

Thanks to Christine for starting Grains of Gratitude!

Thank you for letting me know, what a gorgeous picture of Kayla holding the Kiwi bird. My daughter is so excited too. You have really cheered me up, it's a very dark, pouring with rain moment and I'm soon to take my daughter to Kindy, now I drive with a smile on my face. Blessings on you and your lovely family.
