I was on the mend, I came down with something else - Labyrinthitis. Since Sunday I have been experiencing only what I could describe as vertigo, and it's affected me almost all day long, every day. Of course it would get worse if I tried to sit at the computer for more than 5 minutes - so much for me trying to comment on your blogs!
I finally went to the doctor today as I just couldn't take it anymore and he said it can happen after an upper respiratory illness. There really isn't medication to take care of the inflammation in the middle ear, but he prescribed me something that is basically for motion sickness. Of course the side effects are drowsiness. Can you tell how much fun I'm having? I get motion sickness very easily - when I fly, a lot of times if I'm reading in the back seat of a vehicle (and forget about trying to read!) So I've been miserable feeling like I've had motion sickness for 3 days straight!
Thanks for all the prayers and get-well wishes; it's much appreciated. I just keep telling myself, "this too shall pass!"
Oh yeah, we're on Spring Break here so Kayla's had a "fun" week of, um, doing nothing with mommy! We're hanging in there though!

Isn't it crazy how things can run one into the next sometimes?!? Here's hoping for a period of peace coming your way soon...
Oh Michelle, we hope you are feeling better real soon. Your blog is a daily joy for us to read. Hugs to you & Kayla!
Oh bummer, bummer, bummer. I'll be praying for you Michelle. I had something similar when I was pregnant with my second. No fun!
Awww, I so feel for you. :( I hope you're feeling your usual healthy self again soon!!! :)
Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that, Michelle, and I hope that you get all better soon.
I thought the same thing as pastormac's ann... I felt like that when I was pregnant with Rhi and Nate, and strangely enough, it was after a bout of the flu, or flu-like symptoms anyway... Both times. Weird. I hope you feel better soon. I am missing my daily Kayla fix. Nate too.
Poor Michelle!
A quick story to warm your heart. I was reading this morning, and Brenna comes up to the computer when she sees Kayla's picture. She asks who that girl is and is it my friend? She wanted to know all about this pretty girl on the computer and where she lives and how old she is (she was very excited to learn that Kayla's b-day is only a few days from her own) and then noticed that Kayla's baby doll in one picture is the same as a baby she has. She's up in her room right now getting it. Brenna doesn't know what Trisomy 21 is and has no clue that Kayla is any different than anyone else she knows. She just noticed Kayla's pretty hair and her baby doll. I love that. I thought you would too.
Oh my - that sounds terrible. I'm so sorry. You are in my prayers and I hope you are feeling better soon!
oh dear! You poor poor Mommy!
Hope it passes soon!
big big hugs! and bigger hugs that you all get well soon!
Oh Michelle... I'm so sorry. I hope you feel like yourself soon.
It's so hard to be sick when you're the mom, isn't it? Boy, you've really been slammed, Michelle. I'm thankful for you that, so far, Kayla doesn't seem to be catching this stuff, but I'm sorry you've been so sick. Thank goodness for a husband who's right there to help as much as he can.
The timing of spring break actually worked out well for you. I doubt Kayla is disappointed about it. I'm sure she just wants her mommy to get better soon, as we all do.
I'm glad you went to the doctor. When i talked to you on the phone you didn't seem like you would go. I really hope you start to feel better soon. I know you can't wait for things to get back to normal.Take care and get rest. Don't worry about the blog I'm sure everyone understands.
I really enjoyed talking to Kayla on the phone! She has such a cute little voice. She sure does love her fish nemo! She is just too cute!

mimi
Look at all these well-wisher's! Add me to the list! Motion sickness/vertigo is the worst--so sorry. Hope you are soon back to yourself.
Oh Michelle - poor you. I hope you feel better soon. And I'm glad to hear Kayla is being such a good sport.
And for when you're feeling better, I tagged you.
I have had problems with vertigo for many years now and I know how it's no fun...it's one of the reasons I can't fly either! Hope you feel better real soon my friend!! xox
Keep on hanging on, girl. It'll pass. And I'm not just trying to sound optimistic ... it WILL!!!! Trust me. : ) (Praying it'll be SOON.)
Oh Michelle, I am so sorry you are still not well. Vertigo is not fun. And as a mother you can't just stop, you still have to keep going. Sounds like Kayla is being a good girl though!
I will continue to pray for you Michelle. Thanks for letting us know.
Awww, you just can't win. Bless your heart. I hope this wears off soon and you get back to feeling like yourself again.
Feel better soon!
How awful Michelle! I hope that you are feeling much better today! Thank God for doctors and understanding little girls. Praying for you.

Oy vey! I'm sorry to hear that you're now experiencing Labyrinthitis (I'd never heard of that until now).
I hope you can get to feeling better soon. Does Kayla still nap? Are you napping when she naps?
I'm so sorry Michelle. I'm so prone to motion sickness - so I can truly sympathize. It is such a yucky feeling.
I'm praying you are feeling back to your normal self by Easter.
