Lullaby

A couple of weeks ago Nicole from Much More Than A Mom asked what lullaby we sing to our kids.

One of the current ones I/Kayla sing is called "Bedtime Round" by none other than Rachel Coleman from Signing Time - really were you surprised?

Since everyone seemed to enjoy this post I did of Kayla singing "I'm Awake" I thought I would try and capture Kayla singing the lullaby song as well. The lyrics are really easy:

"Lay down on your bed. Pull your blanket high. Turn out the light. Welcome the night. Dream, dream, sweet dreams."

When Rachel sings the "dream, sweet dreams" part she hits a high note and it is so.darn.cute to hear Kayla try to make a high pitch "sweet" as well. You can just hear it in this video.

Well I know who I am going to call up when I am in need of a stand-in! NICE JOB Kayla! I am so happy to know that you love Signing Time! I even went back and watched you perform "I'm Awake". Lucy (Leah's little sister) is sitting here with me and now YOU have got LUCY singing along with you! (The still frame on the Lullaby video shows Lucy asleep in bed - she thought it was very cool that she's on your blog!)

Keep signing sweetie!

We have an aspiring singer in our house too. So far he is a silent singer but he opens his mouth really wide at the high notes LOL I will try and capture him on video for you.

Oh You TOTALLY have to send that in to their website! I bet Kayla would win a spot in the next DVD for sure! Too adorable!

We're big fans of the Pizza song and the Friend song.. "and I say please, please, please when I want it.."

I can never watch those songs she sings at the end though.. I always end up bawling! Especially the Shine one!

Hugs
