The last pictures

from Christmas - I promise!

Kayla's grandparents brought with them a Dora-themed Christmas for Kayla...including the wrapping paper!

The first box Kayla opened was a pair of tights and dress. When she first opened it she said "clothes!" which is what she was saying in this picture. She was very excited, or at least seemed to be! Then she tossed the tights aside and held up the dress...

and this was her expression!! Isn't it priceless? I don't even remember her making this face, but it's like she's thinking, "a dress? What fun is opening this?!"

Then she put the dress back in the box, covered it back up with the tissue paper, and shoved the box aside so she could get another gift!

Much happier with the large Dora coloring book

and Dora bedtime stories...

and Dora purse...

and Dora's Magic Castle...

and really excited over this non-Dora T-ball set which she just loves! She couldn't wait to open it and use the bat (wait till you see the video!)

One more box...I wonder what's inside?

It's Kayla! Yep - boxes still more fun then the actual toys!

My MIL knows this lady from online and she bought Kayla a cute hat and mitten set "just because!" Wasn't that so sweet?

On Sat morning we woke up to snow! Wow! Kayla was not to impressed with it though. It was wet snow so it was sticking to her shoes when she was walking in the grass and I don't think she cared for that much at all, "it stick!" and she was ready to go back inside!

So Christmas is finally over, the new year is here, time to get back into our regular schedule. Except Kayla doesn't go back to school until next Mon! One more full week! Winter break ends this Wed, but then Thur and Fri are in-service days for the teachers, so school doesn't start back until the 8th.

The grandparents headed back home today, and we'll finally get our tree and decorations put away, and then spend a "quite" day at home with Joe before he goes back to work tomorrow.

Yay! I was waiting for more pics to see what she got from her G'ma and G'pa!

I'm with Kayla on the snow...yuck! I'd rather be inside coloring in my Dora book or playing in the box!

Enjoy the rest of your week with your sweet baby girl!

Never apologize for posting more photos of Kayla. They're wonderful. Look at her with that little purse. Too cute!

My kids have the same "enthusiastic" reaction to clothing - so this year, their grandparents didn't buy them clothes. Now I have to!
Kayla is so cute, no matter what's she's doing!

Keep those pics of Kayla coming! I love watching all her expressions. I love the snow and really wish we would get a nice snow fall so Olyvia can check it out.

She is such a beautiful little girl. We have all boys at my house...if I had a daughter, I'd wish for our own Kayla.

That's It - She is officially spoiled "Sweet". Can't say spoiled rotten because she is too cute to be rotten. I bet her grandparents love watching her expression as she opens the presents they got her -- what fun!! Hope the rest of your week before returning to the non-holiday schedule is a good one.

Wow, you guys got snow? I'm jealous. I think SA is going on year 21 with out it. I loved all the pictures. You know, usually I think Kayla looks just like Joe, but I'm really starting to see a lot of you in her. She's gorgeous in every picture. The one of her with the Dora purse and the one of her in the box are my favorite of the bunch. Now, where's this video?

Oh, what an expression!! My youngest asked for "school clothes" on her wish list this year, which stunned me. She is 8. Of course, it was, like, item #94 on the list.....

I love it when Christmas lasts a long time. My granddaughters are big Dora fans too. They have the same doll. We spent some time fixing her hair one of the last times I visited. Little girls are such fun. And I have still not outgrown dolls. I love them!!
Enjoy your time together (with your real live doll).

I Love the look!! Too funny... Kayla got some great things this year :) I must say tho, I am a little tired of seeing Dora everywhere ;) That is all we saw at Christmas, not sure if it is the same down there, but she is some big up here... Nathaniel even likes her. I was telling mike I was gonna get Nathaniel a Dora doll ;) he said, ummm NO!

I'm glad to see she got things that she did like and that little hat is adorable!!
She's my little kindred spirit in not liking to walk in the snow...lol!!
