Grains of Gratitude

Is it really the last Sunday in January? Already? Wow only 11 more months until Christmas :)

I'm grateful for:

1. MOPS. I know I mention this a lot, but it really is a great organization. Last Tues we had 3 pregnant teens and their teacher come visit our MOPS meeting to see what it was all about and whether there would be support to start a Teen MOPS. I guess there is a high teen pregnancy rate in this town. I wouldn't know. I'm not a teen, I don't have a teen, and most of my friends have toddlers. I'm grateful these girls felt comfortable with us and hopefully they can get their own group going.

2. Grateful for the opportunity to meet up with Overwhelmed again! It's fun being able to meet friends you've made over the internet!

3. Grateful for Blue Bell's Banana Split ice cream. I didn't have the best of days on Thursday and when I went to the commissary that evening I saw this ice cream, plus a coupon. Just what I needed!

4. Grateful I had some time to organize my scrapbooking table. It was a mess with things piled every which way - definitely not conducive to actually scrapbooking! I finally got that straightened out and now I hope to do some scrapping today.

5. Grateful for the breakfast Joe made on Saturday (egg, sausage, cheese muffin) and today (banana nut waffles) mmmm mmm good!

What are you grateful for?

Thanks to Christine for starting this!

Mmm... Banana nut muffins... Sounds yummy! I think the teen MOPS sounds like a good thing. I hope they are able to start one up. I am thankful for my mother. She has been taking care of my kids while I work and she has had a hot dinner ready for me when I get home from a long day. I am lucky and she is awesome.

Also - hope the ice cream cheered you up and that you are feeling better!!!

Egg and cheese muffins are my favorite (not a big sausgage fan). Yummy! That is too cool that you got to meet Overwhelmed with Joy. Hope you have a wonderful week!

Definately wish I was with you to share The Bluebell banana split ice cream...that is some good stuff and my favorite flavor!! I was first introduced to it while living in Texas where it was made just down the road!
:-D

I'm grateful to be able to share a little bit of your life. Your gratitude posts always bless me.
I have a fondness for that particular ice cream too. How could it fail to lift the spirits?
Have a blessed sunday.

I just loved Mops! (I actually technically could still go, since I still have a child under 6 but it was time for me to move on, especially with homeschooling.) But I was in it for three years and it was such a great support!
Teens need even more support, so glad there is this opportunity for them!

I so enjoyed reading your Grains of Gratitude.
Blessings!

I really like the teen MOPS idea, they need someone like a mentor. Tell Joe to come to Florida and cook that breakfast.

Hope you have a great week.

HUGS!

I hope the MOPS teens can get the support that they need and that they are able to start up their own group.

Hope you and "overwhelmed" have a great time together!

I haven't been able to try the new ice cream yet but I did see it at wal-mart so I probably will soon lol! (now that you mentioned it)

You should come organize my craft table! I sure could use it! :D

That is so nice of your husband to make your family such a wonderful breakfast!

It's so nice that you and Overwhemed were able to get together again. I'm sure she really appreciates it that she can take a little break and do something fun like that when she's on a business trip.

I agree with Shelley. Breakfast always tastes better when someone else cooks it!
