Grains of Gratitude

5 things I'm grateful for:

1. Gas prices are down to $2.06 on base - whoo hoo!

2. The pancakes with strawberries we had for breakfast this morning...yum!

3. Our base library has started the preschool story time again. It's on Wed (when Kayla doesn't have school) and is after gymnastics so we can go!

4. The extra hour in the day today. We didn't get to "sleep in" any extra because Kayla was up at what was still 7 to her, there was no convincing her it was really "6!" It sure was nice to have that extra hour in the day though!

5. The nice day we had today. We went up to the mountains and went on a 2.5-mile walking trail. Poor Joe - Kayla was done walking shortly in to the trail and he ended up carrying her most of the way! We'll end the day with trick-or-treating on base. Yes I know it's not actually Halloween, but the base always "moves" trick-or-treating to the Sunday before - nice how can they just move holidays huh? :)

I loved the extra hour too! We actually forgot about it until after we had gotten up and started getting ready, but we were able to get the girls ready (they are late risers) and go to breakfast before church.

What is Kayla dressing up as?

I totally forgot about the exra hour, I was very worried when John didn't return from work as usual. That extra hour is a long one!!!

What is Kayla going to be for Halloween?

I was loving the hour extra also! Our town usually moves it to the Saturday prior but not this year-which is confusing.Sounds like an awesome day and I would love some strawberry pancakes. Our gas was down to $1.95 and then shot back up to $2.03 over this weekend.

*sigh* no matter how hard we tried ... we could not convince our toddler that it was not 5 am!

Awesome things to be grateful for!

I of course forgot to turn my clocks back last night! Today was a long day! It was a pretty day here and not even real cold....but it got dark so early!

Always great to know that gas price is down close to $2 and the day is nice enough for a 2.5-mile walk in your part of the world.

In my part of the world, gas price is close to $3. And today was a rainy, windy and cold day.

Hmm.

I loved these 5 things you're grateful for!

Here would be my 5 for today:

1) My son- every day I'm reminded how truly blessed I am to be entrusted with this upbringing of this gentle soul. He's my angel.

2) My husband who kissed me sweetly and tucked me into bed last night because he knew I wasn't feeling well (I have a cold).

3) My job- if I have to work (which I do) I'm thankful for having such a nice job with a great group of co-workers.

4) Boo at the Zoo- we took Snuggle Bug to this on Saturday evening and he had a blast! He dressed as Tigger this year.

5) Hot Chocolate- there's nothing like a steaming cup of hot chocolate to make you feel better when you have a cold!

The time change worked out better for us, as we went the other way. Sheena's 5am wake up is now 6am.
