Me Mommy!

At some point when Kayla would say "hi mommy!" I started answering her with, "Hi my Kayla!" and occassionally I would insert "my Kayla" when saying something to her.

She's now turned the tables.

She greets me with, "Hi me mommy!" or "ank you me Mommy!" or "here me mommy!"

And I've caught myself answering her with "Hi me Kayla!" oops! Who's copying who now?

This is too cute! And I love how you've caught yourself imitating her. :)

At times, Snuggle Bug will say, "My mommy" and I'll say, "My baby" back to him and we both smile. :)

Often times he'll call for me, "Moooommmmmyyyy" and I'll respond with a "Baaaaaabbbbbyyyy". If I don't respond quick enough, he'll prompt me by calling out, "Baaaaaabbbbbyyyy".

They're so cute, aren't they?!

That is so cute. I love when kids copy what they hear parents saying. Even the bad words are funny (sometimes) ... I always call Rhiannon "mami" and she thinks it's funny when she says Hi mommy and I answer with hi mami. Nate has been called "Bubba" since birth. I don't know why. Rhi and Nate both said to tell you that they thought it was cute that Kayla says me mommy to you.

That's sweet. My niece used to hate having to apologize when she was about 2 or 3. She would cry, "I don't wanna say my sorry!" (Get it? "Say you're sorry, Shannon!")

I think that is so cute that Kayla copies you! I like how you copied her back. I found myself doing that with all three of my kids.

I call my friends that sometimes, "My Ryan Friend". It started at work and stuck. It's funny that Kayla is mimicking it! How cute!

Hi Michelle - I just emailed you back, but I cleared my cache and got it now!

hehehe that's so cute! I'm going to copy my kids too. When they get to be teenagers, I'm going to run into their rooms at the crack of dawn and keep bugging them until they get up and get me some chocolate milk. Then I'm going to whine at them and possibly cause a fist fight when they get on the phone to their friends, but not before I sneak a whole container of baby powder and "explode" it in *their* room.

But the cute things the do are priceless. My youngest always pats my back when I get him out of his crib. I find myself now patting him first, just so I can feel him return that little handpat on my back - I love it.

We always say go to "The Daddy", or "The Mummy". I wonder what we'll get for that in a couple of years.

Shaylee rarely says Mommy, it's always "Hi, My mommy" and i usually answer her "Hi, my baby" Maybe it's a toddler thing....everything is "MY" or "me"
