Just a little update

We arrived back at the grandparents' place yesterday and we're heading home tomorrow. Another long 8 hr drive ahead of us!

Kayla was very happy to see us on Wed. I think it took her a moment to register that she was actually looking at her daddy when he walked up to her...then you could see it in her eyes - hey that's my daddy! and mommy! For the first couple of hours she kept saying, "mommy! daddy!" like she was thinking, "I can't beleive you're here!" Needless to say she hasn't been to keen on letting us out of her sight! If we walk into another room (and forget about shutting the door!) all you hear is, "mommy! daddy!" over and over until you come out.

Yesterday morning there was a lot of activity as we all were getting ready to leave, packing up, making multiple trips to load up the vehicles. Kayla could tell something was up. I was in the bathroom getting ready and Joe had been in and out of the room. He sat down on a chair for a few minutes, Kayla climbed into his lap and he said she wouldn't let him get up. She must have thought we were leaving her again.

We had gorgeous weather yesterday - nice, sunny, not rainy or windy - of course that was the day we left MO! It always works out that way doesn't it?

It's been a nice vacation, but I can't wait to get back to my own bed!

Of course I have some pictures to share, but that will have to wait until I get home so I can get them off the camera.

Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers & grandmothers out there!

Yeah, they are usually a little clingy after leaving them for a while. It'll be good to get home and get into your routines again, I'm sure.

Glad you had a good vacation! Hope the drive isn't too long!
Happy Mother's day!

I'm happy you had such a nice Vacation. Of course Kayla missed you did you really think she wouldn't? When I read this I almost shed a little tear. I could hear how much you missed your little girl and also how happy you felt that she missed you too! Can't wait to see the pictures.

I'm so glad to hear that your little family has been reunited! It sounds like you managed to enjoy your vacation.

We're heading out of town this weekend for about 3 days. We've got a 7 hour drive, there and back, to look forward to, oh joy!
