To Be A Kid Again

Marie at All Access Pass To Jack has a series called Life Is Therapy that I'm linking this post with. Because life is full of 'therapy' moments, when you don't even realize it. Jumping in leaves provides physical therapy, raking leaves in a pile provides occupational therapy, throwing leaves provides tactile and sensory therapy, and laughter provides 'feel-good' therapy!

I'm also linking this to Just For the Joy Of It because kids really do find such joy in the simple things - like jumping and playing in a pile of leaves!

We had nice weather on Sunday, (they didn't need hats, but they wanted to wear them). I raked up a pile of leaves and the kids just had fun jumping, throwing, and burying themselves in leaves.

Joy in the little things!

  2. Why is it I think that looks wonderful, but I have a hard time letting go and letting my kids do that? I get way too caught up in "getting it done".

  3. Lol at the wanting but not needing hats thing. THe little girl I babysit for insists on wearing TWO hats. I promise not to tell Kayla or Lucas about this idea!

And that would have been one of my favorite things as a kid, but in my mind now I'm just going "Tick check!!!!!!" Idk if you guys have the insane deer ticks we have in NY

  8. Great pics, Michelle! I love playing in the leaves, and so does Samantha, although she hasn't had opportunity this year to actually jump in a pile of leaves. She just throws herself on the ground on top of the few leaves that are there and shouts "leaf!" LOL

What a beautiful day to do that on Sunday!!
