I was definitely missing my dad's presence this year, but we were thankful to have my mom, Joe's mom, and some of four friends there to support Kayla.
Kayla has captivating blue eyes...her grandmother and great-grandmother have always said she has these "big blueberry eyes" - and Kayla is now joined by younger brother Lucas; also sporting those big blueberry eyes!

Buddy Walk 2012
We attended our first Buddy Walk in 2003 when Kayla wasn't quite 3 months old. Yesterday was our 10th year of Buddy Walk-ing (and technically our 11th walk; when I was living in MD in 2009 we went to 2 walks that year. One in N. VA, and one in Southern MD.) Needless to say - Buddy Walks are definitely an important part of our lives!

The kids are both getting so big!! You can really start to see some of Kayla's "woman" features developing. She will be so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWe haven't made it to a walk yet, but maybe next year. They always look like a lot of fun.
Yes, it was fun, but very hot and humid,Memaw does not do well with the humidity, but I survived for Kayla!! :) It is wonderful to see so much support for Kayla and for the buddy walk in the low county, with the volunteers from the private school, band and etc. Beautiful people in the area supporting such a wonderful awareness... Love Memaw.
ReplyDeleteLove these pics of such togetherness :) Kayla is just beautiful and so grown up now :)
