Great idea because it makes thing very simple and less confusing. They dont have to worry about all the other things that come with a "bike"
http://www.wishbonedesign.com/littlelolahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05583748586353964302noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24014954.post-55808780824459644052011-05-02T19:48:32.823-04:002011-05-02T19:48:32.823-04:00Zach cant get it either. I hope someday we can get him riding.jenhiatthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12543903634077854689noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24014954.post-26683385050567254252011-05-02T17:50:02.831-04:002011-05-02T17:50:02.831-04:00We have had a tag along that attaches to a bike (...We have had a tag along that attaches to a bike (one wheel with pedals) and it has been wonderful, goes anywhere so the whole family can ride. Kayli loves it, her peers have always been jealous of it, it is cool! At 11 she can ride a bike with training wheels but we live in a hilly area with minimal opportunities for basic riding so she doesn't get much practice. She does have trouble with the brake idea though! :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24014954.post-29736145299499071862011-05-02T16:47:38.212-04:002011-05-02T16:47:38.212-04:00Michelle, my son Elijah went through the Lose the ...Michelle, my son Elijah went through the Lose the Training Wheels program when he was ten. He was a little scared of the bike, but he's more apt to sink to peer pressure, especially if there are cute girls around, so he didn't put up a fight to get on the bike. By the end of the week, he was riding a bike! It is a really great program, but the child really needs to motivated to do it. I'd give it a little time, I bet in a year or two she'll be ready. A side note to my son's story, he was riding with his sister last year, four years after he learned to ride and his sister ran into him and he broke his ankle in two places. The joys of doing those childhood things that everyone wants their child to be able to do! : )Pamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04851575919070731153noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24014954.post-52096632120261691762011-05-02T15:44:07.057-04:002011-05-02T15:44:07.057-04:00I was planning on getting Kaia a tag-a-long bike t...I was planning on getting Kaia a tag-a-long bike this year, but thankfully my neigbour gave us theirs that they are no longer using. good thing cuz they're pricey. Kaia loves it!! But she also loves riding her regular bike. It was tricky, kind of heavy and wobbly. (Actually, it's languishing in our garage - I wonder if I could send it to you?)

I'm sorry. It sounds so frustrating.

another thought - what about a Big Wheel? They're selling the old style again (for nostalgia suckers like me.) It probably wouldn't be great on trails, but maybe? Or at least to give her a boost in confidence and the idea of pedaling?Catehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16248485766805270628noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24014954.post-6697263996995356672011-05-02T15:04:46.637-04:002011-05-02T15:04:46.637-04:00i was wondering if Em is going to be able to ride ...i was wondering if Em is going to be able to ride too. Yesterday she was on this little tricycle we had for Andrew and she couldn't reach the pedals. We have to look for something smaller. I'm not sure the motivation is there yet for Em.
And you know Kayla's day will come in her own time. (a sort of one wheel bike that attaches to mine)! (google tag along and you'll get the idea). Amber lover it. She sometimes pedals, but seems very happy holding on, feeling like she's riding her own bike, waving at her 3yr old brother on his tag along, and passers by! You can get varying sizes for children certainly aged 8+. Goodluck, enjoy that ice cream!Steve Morganhttp://Www.21andco.org.uknoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24014954.post-729636814883405882011-05-02T13:49:50.510-04:002011-05-02T13:49:50.510-04:00It will work out with time, bike or no bike, she w...It will work out with time, bike or no bike, she will be fine.Kim@stuffcould....https://www.blogger.com/profile/03566751822418137457noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24014954.post-31892807680462212122011-05-02T13:46:23.422-04:002011-05-02T13:46:23.422-04:00Oops!
