Grains of Gratitude

I'm grateful for:

1. Joe being home and making Sunday breakfast again! Last week he made waffles with strawberries and bananas and today it was egg, sausage, and cheese muffins. Boy have I missed him making breakfast!

2. Joe had to go check in on Monday, in uniform, and I worried a little about how Kayla would do seeing him leave the house so soon after getting back. She did want to go with him saying, "Kayla work too" but thankfully she was fine when he left. I'm grateful she's adjusting well to him being back, but also ok when he's had inprocessing things to do.

3. I'm grateful for our MOPS meeting that started back on Tuesday - it was "Pamper Day" and I was able to get a nice back massage...oh that felt so good! I'm also grateful I didn't have to bring Kayla with me so her and Joe could stay home together having some bonding time...which also meant I didn't have to rush out of MOPS to get home and get her to school.

4. I'm grateful Kevin didn't mind watching Kayla last night so we could go to the movies. I don't remember the last time we've gone to the movies!

5. I'm grateful for a nice day today - we took Kayla to the playground for awhile, now we're watching football, then we're going over to Jim and Jennifer's for more football and dinner. Nice way to end the weekend!

Mike got me a gift cert. to get a massage on Mother's Day and I have yet to use it!! I really need to schedule one for myself.

It sounds like you had a great week. Kudos to Joe for making breakfast - it's those little things that make such a huge difference :)

I so loved reading this!
(I still remember having to miss Pamper Day at Mops when I was pregnant because I had a bad cold...I was bummed!) So glad you got to go...and that you had a movie date with your sweetheart after all this time! :D

(I'm having a little giveaway...come on over and enter into the drawing!)

What a nice weekend you had. I'm envious of your breakfasts. J used to cook them on Sundays until his hours changed and he has to leave for work too early. Keep sharing what you get - I'll live through you. :)

I'll be Joe loved his time alone with Kayla too!

It just plain makes me happy to know that your little family is back together again. I remember the seperations Randey, the kids and I endured due to the military. I was always so proud of him for serving, but soooooo happy when he got home! (I guess that helped me to appreciate the good times all that much more.)
