Slow Cooker Thursday

Spiced Wine Toddy

16 whole cloves
8 cinnamon sticks, broken
6 C apple juice
2 C water
1.5 C Burgundy
2/3 C instant lemon-flavored tea powder
2 Tbsp brown sugar

Tie cloves and cinnamon in a 6-inch square of 100-percent-cotton cheesecloth. Gather the corners of the cloth and tie it closed with clean (do they have to mention it needs to be clean? Would anyone really use dirty kitchen string?!) In a slow cooker combine all ingredients. Cook on low-heat setting for 4-6 hrs or on high-heat setting for 2-3 hrs. Remove and discard spice bag.

Have to tell you though, one sip of wine makes me really loopy LOL This should be fun LOL

I know this it's called spiced wine for something. But any non-liquor alternative?

Have a great weekend.

Very nice of you to give us a recipe for the holidays!

I had to laugh, isn't that just the way it goes, like we would use anything that wasn't clean. hehe!

Enjoy the rest of your day! :)

Holy Moly that sounds good! If I wasn't using my slow cooker to make black bean soup, I'd definitely be making this right now:D
